A tute is a student who applied regular admission to Fitchburg State University and was denied. A tute is also one who read the entire rejection letter, finding the opportunity live on campus at FSU, and take classes at The Mount. The goal for these students is to transfer to FSU.
To transfer to FSU, the students must have obtained a 2.5 GPA and 12 transferable credits; this entails four classes, three credits each. Once the student has completed this, The Mount ensures a smooth matriculation between schools. Coming into FSU, each student already has an academic advisor, experience with the layout of the campus, and hopefully, a few friends.
