Networking and leadership opportunities are just a couple of benefits of becoming a member of the International Business Honors Society, Alpha Beta Gamma.

The chapter raises funds that are donated to different charities throughout the year including Relay for Life, the MWCC food bank, the Red Cross and the Gardner CAC food bank. Funds are raised by holding bake sales, raffles and other fundraising efforts.

Professor Linda Bolduc, the club adviser, said students benefit immensely by becoming members. The club is a part of the Greater Gardner Chamber of Commerce, which allows members to network with the business world and it is one of the most active clubs on the campus.  read more

James “Kevin” Finch wears many hats, which now includes being the President of the Alpha Beta Gamma Honors Society at MWCC. Finch’s goal for the 2011/2012 scholastic year is to guide the club’s community service and fundraising efforts while focusing their main attention on this year’s two elected charitable organizations, the House of Peace & Education in Gardner and National Education for Assistance Dog Services (NEADS) in Princeton.

GARDNER – On September 26 the Alpha Beta Gamma Honors Society held their first bake sale of the season, in the hallway leading to Green Street Café. The Bake Sale was created to generate funds for both the ABG’s treasury as well as half of the proceeds to be donated to the Alzheimer’s Walk for Research.

Treats such as cupcakes, peanut butter and jelly cookies, brownies, baklava, raspberry cookies and more were available at prices ranging from fifty cents to a dollar. In barely three hours the organization had sold about half of what the volunteer bakers had contributed. read more
