Mount Wachusett Community College students gathered in the South Cafeteria on Wednesday, October 3, for a performance from Ray Hendricks Revival Band. The event was sponsored by CATS (Campus Activities Team for Students) and the student life office.
The band performed songs from their debut album, Lost in the Year. Ray Hendricks Revival Band played nine songs and after each song the audience applauded.
While the band performed, students sat around the tables to eat lunch and talk to friends. The crowd filled about three-quarters of the cafeteria.
Some students started tapping their fingers on the table, some bobbed their heads to the beat. One student stood up and danced for a moment. Throughout the performance, there was a flow of students coming in and out of the cafeteria.
The band consists of Ray Hendricks (vocals/guitar), Pat Patterson (lead guitar), Chris O’Brien (bass), and Dan Thompson (drums).
The band is from Athol, MA. The group formed in late 2005. For more tour dates, visit their MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/rayhendricks.
