The Division of Lifelong Learning and Workforce Development would like to thank all of the students who participated in our survey to determine if there was interest in participating in non-credit offerings during community time. We were very pleased with the survey results and are working on creating low cost programming for our day students in areas that interest them the most. Students showed an interest in topics that ranged from recreation and leisure activities to computer trainings.
For the spring, we intend on piloting the program by offering at least one non-credit offering per month. But we are willing to offer more programs if students show an interest. The more students participate, the more offerings we can put together. Besides hiring external instructors, we are also willing to interview students who feel they have hobbies or skills that they would like to share with other students. Have suggestions? Please feel free to contact Missi Sargent, Director of Non-Credit Programs at m_sargent@mwcc.mass.edu or by phone at 978-630-9273. Congratulations to Kayla Barone, winner of the $25 Wal-Mart Gift Card raffled for completing the survey.
